When I wrote this one we were spending a significant amount of time at our family's 80 year old cottage outside of Slippery Rock, PA. It was a place and time of healing from some distinct struggles we couldn't seem to get through. And those struggles didn't just go away. But this song helped.

After playing the song out a few times we realized it had some potential. But we couldn't quite decide on an arrangement, we tried two acoustics, tried Fender Rhodes, trying more electric and less acoustic. It wasn't until Kenny Hutson and Lucas Morton laid down their amazing piano and pedal steel parts that I realized just how much potential it had.
